Learn the board
The rules
Move every tile with the arrow keys or WASD. On touchscreens, swipe on the board or use the direction buttons. Matching neighbours combine once per move. Each valid move adds a 2 or 4. Reach 2048 to win, then keep playing if you like.
Make room to think
Try keeping your largest tile in one corner. Leave empty cells and plan a move ahead. Undo restores both the previous board and its random state.
The daily challenge
A new daily seed starts at midnight UTC. The same date and moves produce the same tiles. Challenge links carry the starting seed; shared scores are self-reported, not a verified leaderboard.
Frequently asked questions
Can I resume later?
When browser storage is available, regular games, daily games and linked challenges are saved separately on this device. Private browsing or blocked storage may prevent persistence.
How do I share a challenge?
Use Share to open the system share sheet where supported, or choose WhatsApp, X or Copy link. A friend can start from the same seed.
