A practical guide to your export
Feed presets
Choose 1080 × 1080 for a square or 1080 × 1350 for a portrait post. These are the presets available in this tool. Profile mode previews a circular crop of a square image; the download remains square.
Stories and Reels covers
The 1080 × 1920 preset gives you a 9:16 canvas. This editor prepares still images and covers, not video.
Keep important content visible
Account details, captions and action buttons can cover your artwork. The optional guide reserves 14% at the top, 20% at the bottom and 8% on either side. It is an approximate composition guide: Instagram layouts vary by device and placement, so check the in-app preview before posting.
Choose quality deliberately
Start with a large original. Fit keeps the entire image; cover fills the frame by cropping the edges. JPG and WebP quality affects compression. PNG is lossless and does not use the quality slider.
Frequently asked questions
Does this upload my photo?
No. Image decoding, cropping and export happen in this browser. Reloading the page clears the image workspace.
Will the safe area appear in the download?
No. The safe area and profile circle are preview layers only and are never painted into your export.
Why is my export larger than the original?
Dimensions, detail and compression all affect file size. Enlarging a small source does not restore detail. The output estimate is calculated from an encoded file using your current settings.
